Two of our longtime members, Al Gozur and Dave Thomas were awarded the Walter Zeller Award for the Eliminate Project on behalf of GRAK, saving 690 lives of a mother and/or her child.
Our new President, Daisy, awarded them with the certificate, medal, and pin during our weekly meetings.
ABOUT: With his donation of 25 Canadian silver dollars, Walter Zeller dropped a few seeds in the soil that blossomed into the Kiwanis Children's Fund. And it only takes a few drops like Zeller’s—this time, in the form of tetanus vaccinations—to help eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus from the face of the Earth.
When you give US$1,250 to The Eliminate Project, you can become a Walter Zeller Fellow—and save or protect more than 690 women and their future babies. MNT is on the brink of elimination. With your one-time gift or two-year pledge, you have the power to save lives and prevent a life-threatening disease.
Walter Zeller Fellows are recognized with a medallion, certificate and commemorative lapel pin—and, most importantly, the knowledge they helped fill more than 690 lives with unlimited possibilities.
